-Ive spent some Easter time listenin Extreme Metal, of various kind, some old, some up-comin and some already released...
-SORCERY is out with new album «Arrival At Six» on Xtreem Records, and on the 20th of March their «Bloodchilling Tales» (1991) was re-released by Blood Harvest Records. I remember Dead and me talkin about this band SORCERY as one of the most interestin things comin around (referrin to their «Unholy Crusade» 1989 demo). This demo include the songs «Death» and «Dragons of the Burning Twilight» (masterpieces!!). The song «Death» can be heard on To The Death Records soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/#tothedeathrecords. Also some other bands songs there worth checkin out, like «Mortal Remains».
-Blood Harvest Records signed LUCIFERICON for a 1 full-length album in Feb. (Dutch Occult D.M. started in 2009 w/ex members from PENTACLE and DESTROYER 666). Blood Harvest will also release, on vinyl, LUCIFERICONs one and only release, the self-financed EP «The Occult Water» from 2012. The moodfilled D.M. Song «Moon Over Fading Statues» (and samples of 3 other songs) can be heard here: http://lucifericon.bandcamp.com/. LUCIFERICON Live on Wapenfest in Bladel, The Netherlands w/PENTACLE, MALICIOUS DREAM and NECRO NATION 30th March. Blood Harvest have their vinyl release of NECROCURSE «Grip Of The Dead», and some other bands in press now. Blood Harvest also released NECROSEMEN (cool, different and very underground soundin Black Metal), «And All Shall Be Smitten By Fire» in March. BURIALKULTs debut «Evil Antichrist Hordes» out on Blood Harvest last year and their new album «A Call From Beyond The Grave» will be out on the 5th of April. This is cool Canadian underground Black Metal with unusual guitar fuzz.
-NECROCURSE new album «Grip Of The Dead» was out on Pulverised Records this month. Its sharp and really cool speed-metal Deathrash with highlighted guitars. I can drink my beer to this music! Per Hellbutcher from NIFELHEIM on vox. NECROCURSE Live and Release-Party in Gothenburg on the 5th of April.
-PENTACLE had no releases since 2005 but will have 3 split-EPs released in 2013. The 1st was out in Feb w/ETERNAL SOLSTICE on Dark Descent Records. PENTACLEs 2 up-comin split-EPs to be released by Iron Pegasus. One w/Peruvian D.M. band MORTEM, the other w/L.A. D.M. band SADISTIC INTENT. PENTACLE is back for Death. I was listenin to SADISTIC INTENTs instr. song «Resurrection» again. Wow! I wish they would do more music of this kind, heavy occult mood!
-Ive been playin ASSASSINs «Assassin» song continuosly on repeat when Ive been on the road. This is without doubt one of the best Thrash Metal songs ever made! Last few days Ive been listenin to music of MÖRBID CARNAGE from Hungary and this is in the same vein like it was done in the 80s. Thats what I like when bands go back to the roots.
-Havent said much about RAGNAROKs «Malediction» (2012) album, well Ive listened to it again and here is my summary: damnation from the first moment in the intro, when the music start its surprisingly heavy. This is anyway a very fast B.M. album like the music RAGNAROK is known to play, still its different and thats much due to the many old-school guitar riffs. Expect they continue in this way. If ure a lazy bastard who havent bought it yet, well the shop is open again tomorrow.
-New ZOMBIEFICATION album «At The Caves Of Eternal» out on Pulverised Records 8th April. ZOMBIEFICATION was formed in Mexico in 2009 and play mid-paced D.M.

-CRUCIFYRE (with members from old split-up Swedish D.M. bands) are workin on their new album.
-MASTERs 2012 album is kind of militant, right on to it like before and most definately better than their 2010 album. I picked up their 1990 LP from my collection again and this is really uncompromisable, straight forward right in the face thrash all the way! With classics like «Pay To Die» and the very brutal and extraordinary fast version of BLACK SABBATHs «Children Of The Grave» and their «Open your eyes...clear your fuckin mind» still so brilliant «The Truth». Also their unusual cover of «Jailbreak» (THIN LIZZY) from «The Collection Of Souls» (1993) album and their «Ring Of Fire» (JOHNNY CASH) from their «The Spirit Of The West» (2004) album are songs I can listen over and over again. ABOMINATION with Paul Speckman is active again and MASTER is tournin USA in these days.
-SATYRICON gonna play an exclusive and special long set on the Inferno Festival in Oslo tomorrow Sat 30 March. With songs from their up-comin album (never been played live!).
